Theta, under the hood

This page holds the detail that doesn't belong on a sales page: the engine rule, security, the Pilot step by step, the indicators with their own scoreboard, and the public account that reproduces what we claim. Nothing here is a summary — it's the full text.

01

The engine rule

Sells at the target, never below. If it drops before that, it holds and waits. And the floor is not whoever configured it being cautious: it is an engine constant, 1.0035, requiring 0.35% above average cost. It covers the round trip of the fee plus room for slippage. The exact fee varies by exchange, and the real one comes back on the fill. Selling at cost would mean losing the fees, so the engine does not sell. The six strategies that sell import that same constant, defined in a single place. The floor locks the engine, not you: press «Sell now» and the product obeys, closing at market even in the red.

Takes the profit, waits for the price to breathe, re-enters cheaper. Repeats. And if there is not enough balance for the next rung, it does not go quiet: it writes to the log which condition failed, with the missing amount, the quote currency and what to do about it: deposit, or reduce the bot's capital.

We do NOT sell your assets in the dip. House rule, non-negotiable: in spot, we only close trades in profit. If the price falls, the bot holds and waits — selling in the red only crystallizes the loss. The only losing sale is the one YOU make, by hand.

02 · Security & privacy

Your money never leaves your exchange. Your data is yours.

  • Genuinely non-custodial: the connection requires a key without withdrawal permission, and it also refuses when it cannot confirm the permissions. An empty response, a missing field, a null, the string «false», all of them fall on the refusal side: in doubt it denies rather than letting it through. True on all three exchanges. Your money stays in your exchange account the whole time.
  • 2FA before creating a real bot: without the second factor active, the edge refuses the creation with a 403, instead of merely hiding the button.
  • Zero third-party trackers in the product: no Google Analytics, no Clarity where you trade your money. Our public pages — this one included — do use audience measurement, disclosed in the privacy policy.
  • The content security policy runs in enforce mode, meaning it blocks rather than just observes (check it with a curl: the header is Content-Security-Policy, not Report-Only). Alongside it, HSTS with preload and the panel forbidden from running inside an iframe. Plus a server watchdog with alert e-mails: the engine is monitored at 3am, not by shouting.
  • PT, EN and ES are real languages here, not half a translation: a CI guard fails the build if a string exists in one language and is missing in another.

Connections screen: Bybit, Coinbase and Binance connected with masked keys and the badges Read balance, Trade, Withdrawal rejected.
The connection is the contract: ✓ read balance · ✓ trade · ✗ withdrawal — and it rejects any key that could withdraw.

03 · The crown jewel

Your profit becomes a plan that executes itself.

On every profitable sale the bot rebuilds its own capital — and whatever stays FREE at the exchange (you choose the reinvest %) the Pilot sees on the next cycle. As the money grows, it climbs a public ladder of coins; above the top, it deepens the positions. Only on bots YOU marked as managed.

Pilot's Plan on Sep 18, 2026, Binance/USDT: current step 5 coins, public entry queue (BTC, ETH, BNB, AVAX, ADA, SOL…) and the capital reading — 324.07 total, 203.72 free to operate.
Recorded on Sep 18, 2026: 5 coins in the plan and nothing to do — the bot is on plan; the 6th coin already fits today's capital. On Sep 1 it was 4: the step climbed on its own. The 46-coin queue for this exchange is public, and the Pilot only acts on what it READS: 324.07 USDT seen (120.35 in position + 203.72 free).

04 · The honest picture

What to really expect.

What we stand behind here is the mechanism, not a return projection. One number we do publish, because it reproduces: selling at the target beat the trailing stop, +19.7% against +17.2% at the +1.5% target. Small and declared sample, 6 cases across three market regimes (downturn, rally and sideways), and the script that redoes the math is «backtest_trailing.py», named in the Help evidence. Past does not become future, and a sample of 6 does not become law.

And the worst stretch? We show that too.

In the product's own simulator backtest (5 years, accumulating BTC+ETH), the Reserve tier closed at +8.0% — but in the worst stretch it fell −54% from the peak before recovering. That's the red the bot rides out by holding. Hence the rule: only use money that can wait.

Numbers from the product's simulator (real history, daily candles). Backtest informs, it doesn't predict. Crypto swings; you can lose money.

There used to be a table here with the Cycle's return by market regime. We removed it: no script in the repo reproduces those numbers, and the house rule is that a performance figure only ships alongside the script that reproduces it. We'd rather say nothing than say a number we can't rebuild. What's below is the mechanism — that we do stand behind.

  • The Cycle does not beat buy-and-hold in a long rally — the market is driven by the big rallies, which the Cycle sells early. Its real value is discipline: it locks small green profits and never realizes a loss.
  • In a downturn, no strategy here protects you by selling — the house holds. Only use money you can afford to hold.

Everything in the plan

One plan, six things most bots charge extra for.

No tiers, no feature locked behind an upgrade. All of this is already inside, same price.

8 strategy families, or build your own

Guardian, Cycle, Trail, Core+Satellite, Portfolio, Grid, BTC+ and Spot Pro — all eight are right below, each with the ground where it loses. Every preset is editable — coins, target, top-ups — or you build from scratch.

Free simulator, no limit

Inside the free account already, it runs any strategy against the exchange's own real history, going back to 2017, and gives back return and worst drawdown along the way, before you risk a cent. No cap on runs and no cost: it is the reproducer for any number we publish.

No black box on indicators

RSI, moving averages (SMA/EMA), MACD, Bollinger Bands, Stochastic, with the formula open candle by candle. Same public prices, same math, you can redo it by hand and check. And the scoreboard of when each indicator lost to DCA is published in the Help with the script that generated it next to it.

An engine that doesn't repeat mistakes

Every order has a deterministic ID, so it never duplicates, even if the engine restarts mid-cycle. If you sell manually on the exchange, the bot notices and reconciles on its own. And the three exchanges run through the same code path, with the quote currency never crossing: Binance on USDT, Coinbase on USDC, Bybit on USDT, in creation, editing, migration and history.

Tax report ready

Settings › Tax generates capital gains in filing format, and History exports every order as a spreadsheet: date, price, fee, result, domestic or foreign origin. The exchange rate is the Brazilian Central Bank PTAX, date by date, and the fee is converted even when it was paid in BNB. If the Central Bank is down, the column stays empty: exchange rates are not invented here.

2FA to trade for real

Without two-factor active, creating a bot in real mode is not a warning on screen: the edge refuses with a 403. That holds for anyone calling the API directly too. Real money gets an extra lock.

Not theory. It actually happened:

Jul 12, 2026, 21:11 — the bot sold ETH at +1.16% on Bybit and rebought 27 minutes later, 0.7% cheaper. For real, fees and all. It's in the history with date, price and fee — and the Coinbase sale (+1.42%) too.

Eight ways to operate — and where each one loses.

Every family has ground where it wins and ground where it isn't the right pick. Both are here, and they're the same ones the product's Help says on the inside.

There is no best strategy — it depends on the market and on your temperament. In a long rally, holding tends to earn more; sideways, the cycles turn small green gains; in a drawdown, they all hold — none sells in the red.

05

Published backtests

Every number we publish has, next to it, the script that reproduces it — including the ones that don't flatter us. The simulator in the free account is that reproducer: it runs against the exchange's own history, back to 2017, with no run limit.

Inside the free account already, it runs any strategy against the exchange's own real history, going back to 2017, and gives back return and worst drawdown along the way, before you risk a cent. No cap on runs and no cost: it is the reproducer for any number we publish.

06

The ThetaSpot account

It's a real Binance account, with my own money, running the Theta Strategy, published as a portfolio on Spot Copy Trading. Binance audits and publishes the numbers; we only link to them.

The live figures appear here as soon as there's a first dated snapshot. Until then we show nothing — a proof number nobody measured is worse than no number.

How to read ROI per share

The ROI Binance shows is per share, not per deposit: it already nets out capital in and out, so it doesn't rise just because someone funded more. It's the honest basis for comparison, and that's why we publish it instead of the balance.

Why Theta exists

I built Theta because I was also tired of losing money in crypto — so I built the bot I wish I'd had. No miracle promise: machine discipline, clear rules, and your money always on YOUR exchange.

07

Straight questions

Do you take my money?

No. The API key can only read balance and trade, and the connection rejects a key that could withdraw. More than that: if the exchange answers in a way that does not let the permissions be confirmed, the connection does not complete either. Your money stays in your exchange account (Binance, Coinbase or Bybit) the whole time.

Does it really never sell at a loss?

It is in the engine, not on a slide, and we can point at where: a constant of 1.0035 requires 0.35% above average cost before any sale goes out, which covers both fees plus room. It is defined in one place and imported by the six strategies that sell, so it is not a rule each one gets to interpret its own way. If the price falls, the bot waits or reinforces. The only losing sale is the one YOU make by hand, and the panel makes that clear first.

Can I lose money?

YES. If the price falls with a position open, your equity falls with it — that's the unrealized red our own dashboard shows (see the hero shot: open positions swing negative, updated every engine cycle). Crypto can fall for years; selling by hand at the bottom crystallizes the loss. Only use money that can wait.

What are the fees?

The exchange charges its own fee per order (~0.1% on Binance). On Binance, if you turn on the BNB top-up in the dashboard, the fee is paid in BNB, discounted and dust-free; it's off by default. Theta charges nothing per trade — you pay only the subscription.

What about taxes?

The History exports a CSV ready for tax filing (built for Brazil's IR) — every order with date, price, fee and result.

Do I need to leave my computer on?

No. The engine runs on a cloud server, 24/7 — with your computer off, it keeps monitoring and executing on the exchange.

What's support like?

E-mail: roliveira.sagan@gmail.com, reply within 72h — no 24/7 promise, because we don't sell what we don't deliver. The honest framing: in spot, the worst case of an outage is a coin sitting still on YOUR exchange — never a forced sale.

One plan, everything included — three ways to pay.

No tiers, no “premium feature”: the plan is ONE and everything is inside. Accounts created by Dec 31, 2026 get the founder price — use the full 30-day free trial and subscribe within 60 days of signup. The lock holds while the subscription stays active (on prepaid crypto, topping up before expiry keeps the price).

Card, Boleto (on BRL plans) and Apple Pay / Google Pay / Link at checkout. Crypto in USDT (TRC-20), no auto-renewal.
